Hi everyone,

we're currently studying thermal analysis in school today and one of the (sub)topics is thermogravimetry. I'm not really sure I understand what that is though. According to this website (> https://www.linseis.com/en/our-products/thermogravimetry/)
Quote:
"Thermogravimetry (TG) is a technique in which the mass of the sample is monitored (balance) against time or temperature (thermal) while the temperature of the sample, in a specified atmosphere, is programmed. "

Can someone please explain this to me in ENGLISH? I'm scared of failing my class Sad I barely understand what thermal analysis is and what it's good for!!
