Well I have been on a serious diet for the last 11 days. I found a diet from Lyle McDonald and followed it. Managed to lose some serious fat in those 11 days. Now I am down to 182 and 7.5% bodyfat. I should gain a couple of pounds when I load back up on carbs. I figure I will get back to atleast 186 but should maintain my low bodyfat. With taht being said it is grow time for the summer. Plan on stacking some serious muscle. Shouldn't be a problem. I have a great program lined out and a good eating plan. Keep you posted. Along I will try and post some pics. _________________ "Do or do not, there is no try" |

Alternatively, if you meant why do cells stop dividing after a certain time it is because their telomeres get too short. Telomeres are the parts of DNA at the end of chromosomes. DNA polymerase requires a primer (a piece of DNA to sit on). It starts making new DNA from this point, but doesn't copy the part it sits on at first, so the copy is a tiny bit shorter than the original. Each time cells divide and copy their DNA, their telomeres get a little bit shorter. When they are too short the cell recognizes this and stops dividing.
